A mom let her 5 year old son dress as Daphne from Scooby Doo for Halloween… and moms at her son’s school gave her a hard time, now she’s defending her decision and letting that haters know where they can shove it!
What do you think? Should a 5 year old be encouraged to dress as a girl like this?
He looks adorable, and SO WHAT?? You gotta read his mom’s blog post about it… she rocks!
Here’s my opinion, if the kid wants to dress like Daphne… let him. If he turns out to be gay, so what? If he is… his mom letting him be who he is at 5 is MUCH healthier than forcing the kid to “be a boy” if he’s not going to be comfortable as he grows up.
And, none of the children really made fun of him… it was the grown ups who had a problem!
